Spring Renewal

Spring is a time for renewal and increased activity. One common problematic area we commonly see in the Spring are feet issues.

Think about it— if you live in a four season locale, you have been wearing heavy shoes all winter or no shoes in the house. Then, the sun is out and everyone quickly switches to lighter, more open footwear options, in addition to increased activity levels.

Ready to leap out of our houses, we jump into sports, walking, and gardening.

With the rapid changes to activity levels, we see a lot of people in our office with common complaints—

“My back, hips, knees, feet, or ankle are: stiff, sore, or feel strained.”

How are my feet related to the rest of my body?

  • Standing places pressure on joints with every movement. Our feet, in turn, distribute our body weight pressure with every standing or moving action.

  • Our feet have the largest pores on our bodies, so we can readily absorb things that we are exposed to environmentally.

  • The feet regulate movement, stability, and communication with the brain to support coordination and whole- body function.

Ease-ful movement

If you want to experience a more ease-ful transition this season, consider an assisted stretching session, or our signature seasonal service which includes a 90- minute long curated session, including the following:

  • Detox foot soak a grounding ritual for over-all wellbeing, easing tension, softening skin, and improvinf circulation. This primes the feet for Reflexology treatment.

  • Reflexology improves circulation, reduces stress, and targets bodily systems and organs through corresponding pressure points on the feet and ankles.

  • Acupressure improves energy flow, aids bodily detoxification, supports emotions, and harmonizes the body with the season;s rising, expansive energy.

  • Detox tea or water supports hydration, lymphatic flow during a gentle post- treatment integration.

Assisted Stretching helps prime the body for increased activity by warming tissues, improving flexibility, mobility, range of motion, and balance. All of these benefits help prevent injuries while you’re doing the things you love.
